Connotative nomination refers to the process by which names or labels are assigned based on emotional, cultural, or social associations rather than their literal meaning. This article explores how connotative nomination is applied in the formation of nicknames, analyzing the social, psychological, and cultural factors that influence the naming process. By understanding the deeper meanings behind nicknames, we can gain insight into the ways in which personal identities, group dynamics, and linguistic creativity intersect.
