This paper explores the intricate landscape of empty queries and predicates, shedding light on their origins and implications. We delve into the complexities of ontology-based data access systems, presenting both theoretical underpinnings and practical considerations. Moreover, we offer a comprehensive examination of existing solutions, proposing novel strategies to address these issues. By providing a roadmap for handling query and predicate emptiness, this research aims to empower practitioners and researchers in optimizing ontology-driven data retrieval.
