This article explores the methodology for developing basic competencies in mathematics among elementary school students. The paper discusses theoretical foundations, practical approaches, and pedagogical strategies for cultivating key mathematical competencies such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, critical thinking, and communication. It also highlights the importance of active learning, differentiated instruction, and continuous assessment in this process, aiming to provide a comprehensive guide for teachers to effectively enhance students' mathematical abilities.
