the article examines the need for the formation of skills necessary for the 21^st century in the process of training specialists in technical higher education institutions,the requirements for specialists are studied with the help of normative documents, students are studied for pedaogical competences in developed countries and the world community,and it creates the ground for the formation of these skills in the training of teachers of specialized subjects. Thoughts and opinions about subjects and their contents are given.
