This article provides a scientific analysis of the influence of globalization on the development of the English lexicon. The process of globalization, through various spheres such as economy, culture, technology, and communication, has transformed English into the primary means of international interaction. As a result, English has not only exerted considerable influence on other languages but has also absorbed lexical items from them. The article highlights the enrichment of English vocabulary through international business, science, information technologies, and social media, as well as the adaptation of linguistic changes to the needs of global communication. Special attention is given to the emergence of neologisms, borrowings, abbreviations, and international terminology, along with the factors shaping them. In conclusion, globalization is shown to dynamically expand the English lexicon and strengthen its position as a universal language of the modern era.
