This article discusses the role and importance of the proverb genre in the English and Uzbek landscape, and the fact that proverbs are a constant object of study for many representatives of linguistics, including linguists, historians, and ethnographers. The proverb genre has its own linguistic features that distinguish it from other genres, and these features give proverbs melody, beautiful content, and help to focus the listener's attention on the speech.
