THE ROLE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS IN ENHANCING ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING AMONG STUDENTS IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

 This paper explores the growing impact of social networks on English language learning, particularly among young students in Uzbekistan. Drawing on recent data and pedagogical insights, the study highlights how social media platforms facilitate improvements in all four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. It discusses various tools such as Facebook, Skype, and blogs that promote active communication and practical usage of English, ultimately increasing learners’ motivation and reducing anxiety associated with traditional classroom settings. The study concludes that social networks serve as effective and accessible resources that complement conventional learning methods and support language acquisition in modern educational environments.
