When learning Chinese as a foreign language, especially in the first years of study, the greatest difficulty is in the processes of mastering vocabulary and memorizing hieroglyphs, which is why choosing the right teaching methodology can significantly increase the effectiveness of teaching Chinese. The problem of teaching the Chinese language, as well as the development of effective methods of teaching the Chinese language, still remains relevant and is an acute problem for domestic linguistics and linguodidactics. This article describes part of the experiment, the purpose of which was to analyze the effectiveness of existing methods of teaching Chinese by identifying the features of memorizing Chinese characters, as well as factors influencing their forgetting in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
