THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGES

Abstract

In recent decades, the use of digital technologies—especially those based on artificial intelligence (AI)—has significantly expanded in the field of education. During the process of teaching foreign languages, AI technologies have emerged as a key factor in increasing learning efficiency, personalizing educational materials, and creating interactive environments. At the same time, methodological and technical challenges related to the use of these technologies remain, which require solutions grounded in scientific approaches.This article explores the widespread application of AI in the field of linguistics, highlighting the main challenges and suggesting practical solutions. Furthermore, it provides recommendations for teachers and students on how to effectively use AI-based tools in foreign language education. The proposed recommendations aim to bridge the gap between technology and traditional teaching methods, offering a broader and more effective approach to language acquisition.Additionally, the article emphasizes the role of AI in increasing learner motivation and engagement in the learning process. By examining current practices and technological innovations, the paper aims to provide a clear understanding of how AI can be integrated into language education to improve the quality and accessibility of learning.
