This article investigates the effectiveness of role-playing activities in enhancing students’ speaking competence in English as a Foreign Language classrooms. Speaking is a crucial skill for many learners, the article explores how interactive, context-based role-play can foster communicative confidence, fluency, and accuracy. Additionally, there are explained a number of important benefits of this method to develop young learners’ speaking abilities. The study concludes that role-play serves as an engaging and effective pedagogical tool for promoting authentic communication and developing learners’ speaking competence.
