This article studies the theoretical foundations of improving the system of preparing students for pedagogical activity based on educational values. It analyzes the content and essence of educational values, their role in pedagogical preparation, and their importance in personal and professional development. The ways of forming a positive professional and pedagogical position in students based on national, universal and professional values ​​are theoretically substantiated. The role of person-oriented, value-based and competency-based approaches in improving this system is also revealed. In the work, such areas as enriching the content of pedagogical education, improving the practice process, and training a reflective teacher are put forward as the main priorities. The results of the study indicate the need to develop and implement integrated approaches based on educational values ​​in pedagogical education.
