In an increasingly interconnected and multicultural world, language plays a pivotal yet often underestimated role in shaping international relations. This article explores the concept of linguistic diplomacy, defined as the strategic use of language to foster dialogue, build trust, and promote cooperation among nations. This article argues that language is not a neutral tool but a strategic asset in global governance. As diplomacy evolves in complexity, the mastery and mindful use of language will remain central to sustainable international cooperation. It concludes by recommending greater investment in language education and inclusive language policies as a foundation for more equitable and effective global diplomacy.
