
THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPETENCE-BASED APPROACH IN EDUCATION

The competence-based approach has become a fundamental paradigm in modern education, emphasizing the integration of knowledge, skills, and values necessary for effective professional and personal performance. This paper explores the theoretical foundations, methodological principles, and practical applications of competence-oriented teaching. The study analyzes pedagogical frameworks, international experiences, and the adaptation of this model in the context of higher and general education systems. The findings reveal that competence-based education enhances learners’ autonomy, creativity, and adaptability while ensuring that learning outcomes align with the labor market and societal needs.
