Abstract

This article explores the multifaceted impact of globalization on language education policies and practices worldwide. As globalization fosters increased interconnectedness among nations, it profoundly influences how languages are taught, learned, and valued. Drawing on recent research and educational trends, this paper examines the challenges and opportunities presented by globalization in language education. It addresses issues such as the dominance of English, the rise of multilingualism, the role of technology, and the need for intercultural competence. By analyzing various approaches and strategies adopted by countries and educational institutions, this article aims to provide insights into effectively navigating the evolving landscape of language education in the era of globalization.
