GUARDIANS OF INTEGRITY: NOTARIES AS PUBLIC OFFICIALS IN CRIMINAL LAW

Abstract

This comprehensive study examines the pivotal role of notaries as public officials within the realm of criminal law. Notaries, entrusted with the task of verifying and authenticating legal documents, play a critical role in upholding the integrity of the legal system. This paper delves into their various duties and responsibilities, shedding light on the intricate web of liabilities they face when fulfilling their obligations. By analyzing case studies and legal frameworks from different jurisdictions, we explore the multifaceted role of notaries in safeguarding the due process of law and maintaining the highest ethical standards in the criminal justice system.
