Muhammad Imtiaz , Assistant Professor, United International University, Bangladesh, Dhaka

Abstract

This study delves into the complex interplay of social identity and changing values among young males in urban and rural areas of democratic Bangladesh. In a society undergoing rapid transformation, the research examines how these individuals navigate the paradoxical dynamics of modernity and tradition. Through qualitative and quantitative research methods, the study provides insights into the evolving aspirations, roles, and dilemmas faced by young men as they redefine their identities amidst the cultural tapestry of Bangladesh. The findings shed light on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as they adapt to a shifting sociocultural landscape.
