The etiological factor of this disease is the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. These microorganisms develop in anaerobic conditions and produce a very strong biological poison - botulotoxin. This toxin is recognized in modern biology and medicine as one of the most powerful toxic substances, and even a very small amount of it poses a serious threat to human life.

This research paper addresses the critical issues of enhancing the metrological and cognitive efficiency of X-ray image analysis performed by human operators within the customs control framework. For the first time, X-ray inspection is theoretically substantiated as an “integrated human-machine measurement system.” A six-stage decision-making model for operators was developed based on Signal Detection Theory (SDT) and Markov stochastic chains. An experimental study involving 20 operators of various categories was conducted, analyzing a database of 500 X-ray images. The results indicate that the Probability of Detection (POD) and False Alarm Rate (FAR) are directly contingent upon cognitive workload and image complexity. The paper concludes by proposing a new conceptual model for training customs X-ray operators and offering practical recommendations for the algorithmization of the analysis process.

The article examines the multivariate relationship between morphofunctional indicators and the level of physical fitness of 12–13-year-old school students using canonical correlation analysis. It was found that morphological growth indicators, particularly body length and the proportion of muscle tissue, are closely associated with speed-strength qualities. At the same time, an increase in subcutaneous fat percentage was noted to have a negative effect on movement performance. The obtained results demonstrate that the method of canonical analysis enables a comprehensive and scientifically grounded assessment of physical fitness, and the scientific-theoretical as well as practical aspects of this approach are analyzed.

They also contain anticoagulant and antiplatelet medications, which are crucial for preventing cardiogenic embolism. The expected advantages of treatment greatly outweigh the majority of the neurologic side effects of cardiovascular medications, which are either modest or temporary. More serious neurologic issues need to be identified and treated as soon as possible. Although overtreatment of arterial hypertension can result in weariness or dizziness, it frequently responds well to dose modification or switching to a different medication. The psychological effects of cardiovascular medications are covered in this chapter. There are two interesting sides to this topic. An undesirable side effect of a cardiovascular treatment, such as depression brought on by an antihypertensive medication, can be anticipated and prevented by utilizing the right medication. When molecules act on the adrenergic transmission, these effects are more common. This feature, however, does not fully capture the psychological impacts of cardiovascular therapies. Other medication side effects, such as headaches from vasodilators or myalgia from statins, may be more problematic. The current algorithm for the laboratory diagnosis of RTIs uses a variety of techniques, including cutting-edge ones like molecular methods, which are mostly used to detect viruses and atypical bacteria, and gold-standard conventional methods, of which traditional culture is the most popular. As a major global cause of morbidity and mortality, viral respiratory infections (VRIs) are a serious public health issue. Influenza virus, SARS-CoV-2, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are among the respiratory viruses that cause illness. These viruses cause an antiviral immune response, which in turn increases the inflammatory response that is essential to their pathogenesis. Since the inflammatory response brought on by respiratory viruses might initially be both antiviral and protective or reparative of virus-induced damage, it can be a double-edged sword. In pediatric populations, pneumonia is a major source of morbidity and mortality, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It is crucial to understand the frequency and function of microorganisms in hospitalized pneumonia patients in order to guide diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies. The purpose of this review was to determine the prevalence of hospitalizations for pneumonia caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae in children under five in LMICs. Premature newborns now have a far higher survival rate because to ongoing advancements in medical technology. One of the most frequent bacteria that causes newborn infections is Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae), which poses a significant risk to preterm infants in particular. The purpose of this study was to examine the treatment results, antibiotic susceptibility profiles, and clinical features of K. pneumoniae infections in these neonates. In preterm newborns, K. pneumoniae isolates show significant infection prevalence, poor treatment results, and increased resistance. Our knowledge of K. pneumoniae infections and their relationship to clinical outcomes in preterm newborns is improved by these findings.The significant prevalence of K. pneumoniae in hospitalized pediatric pneumonia patients, especially in Asia, is highlighted in this analysis. In order to diagnose, treat, and prevent K. pneumoniae-associated pneumonia in pediatric populations, the results highlight the need for additional research, consistent criteria for grading pneumonia severity, and focused initiatives.

The article examines the impact of the development of military aviation technologies on regional security using the example of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and high-precision weapons. It also analyzes the strategies of the parties aimed at ensuring air superiority and their political and military consequences on a scientific basis. The results of the study show that military aviation plays an important role in modern conflicts not only as a means of military superiority, but also as a means of diplomatic pressure.

This article examines the transformation of trade relations in the Turkestan Governor-Generalship during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, focusing on the role of railway expansion and the emergence of banking institutions in reshaping the Tashkent Fair. The study argues that the introduction of railway infrastructure fundamentally altered the spatial and temporal organization of trade, replacing caravan-based exchange with a continuous and integrated market system. Furthermore, the development of financial institutions facilitated the transition from cash-based transactions to credit-based economic relations, accelerating capital circulation and enabling the expansion of wholesale trade. Drawing on statistical data, archival materials, and contemporary periodicals, the article demonstrates that by the early twentieth century the Tashkent Fair had evolved into a specialized trade and financial center, playing a key role in integrating the regional economy into the broader economic system of the Russian Empire.

The results of the study have significant implications for speech analysis, translation processes, and linguistic didactics.

The research was conducted on the basis of an integration of developmental psychology, clinical psychology, and psychobiological approaches. Thyroid hormones have a significant influence on the functioning of the central nervous system, affective processes, and mechanisms of response to stress. The study examined indicators such as depression, anxiety, emotional stability, and quality of life. The results confirm that somatic illness has a significant impact on the trajectory of emotional development during adulthood.

This article provides a theoretical analysis of the cognitive and value-based determinants influencing the formation of students’ social identification in the context of globalization. Within the scope of the study, the psychological essence of social identification, its formation mechanisms, and its transformation under contemporary global conditions are examined. The process of social identification is interpreted based on Henri Tajfel’s theory, highlighting the role of cognitive factors—such as reflection, metacognition, and global thinking—in the development of self-awareness. In addition, the study analyzes the system of students’ values and its impact on the identification process, drawing on Shalom Schwartz’s theory of basic human values. The findings substantiate that social identification represents a multifactorial and dynamic psychological system.

Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) represents a severe pulmonary complication that may develop following burn injury. Its pathogenesis involves either direct damage to lung tissue caused by inhalation of smoke and toxic gases or an indirect systemic inflammatory response triggered by burn trauma and subsequent infections.

This prospective cohort study was conducted between January and December 2025 to evaluate the incidence, severity, and determinants of ARDS among burn patients. Clinical, demographic, and prognostic data, including burn extent and depth, were systematically collected.

A total of 85 patients were included. The mean total body surface area (TBSA) affected was 28.3%, and inhalation injury was identified in 35.3% of cases. ARDS developed in 38.6% of patients requiring invasive mechanical ventilation. Mortality remained high and demonstrated a strong association with ARDS occurrence.

Objective: to analyze the clinical features and factors complicating the early diagnosis of acute mesenteric thrombosis.
Materials and Methods: A retrospective analysis of literature data and clinical observations of patients diagnosed with acute mesenteric thrombosis was conducted [3]. Clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, and imaging results were evaluated.
Results: the leading clinical feature was severe abdominal pain disproportionate to physical examination findings. The main causes of diagnostic errors included underestimating risk factors and delaying the use of CT angiography [2,5].
Conclusion: Early diagnosis is possible with high clinical suspicion and the timely use of modern imaging techniques.

Superficial vein thrombosis (SVT) of the lower extremities remains a clinically relevant condition due to its risk of thromboembolic complications and variability in response to anticoagulant therapy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and ultrasound effectiveness of anticoagulant therapy and to identify factors influencing thrombus regression. A prospective observational study included 104 patients with acute SVT associated with varicose vein disease who received anticoagulant therapy with dynamic clinical and duplex ultrasound monitoring over 8 weeks. Clinical improvement was observed in 87.5% of patients and was accompanied by thrombus disorganization, decreased echogenicity, and, in some cases, partial recanalization. Two patterns of response were identified: rapid regression (27.9%) and delayed regression (72.1%), associated with the severity of inflammatory changes, thrombus structure, and early presentation. The effectiveness of anticoagulant therapy was also influenced by local hemodynamic conditions. These findings highlight the importance of combined clinical and ultrasound assessment for predicting treatment outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to assess the influence of body mass index (BMI) on the accuracy of ultrasound diagnostics of diffuse liver diseases, in particular non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). An analysis of the data of patients with different BMI values was conducted. It has been established that an increase in BMI reduces the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound due to a deterioration in visualization. The obtained results indicate the need to consider BMI when interpreting ultrasound data.

Objective: to compare laparoscopic sigmoid resection with intracorporeal colorectal anastomosis versus open surgery in patients with dolichosigma complicated by sigmoid volvulus. Materials and methods: a retrospective comparative study included 81 patients treated in an emergency surgical setting. The laparoscopic group comprised 41 patients and the open-surgery group 40 patients. Perioperative outcomes, Clavien–Dindo complications and functional results up to 6 months were analyzed. Results: laparoscopy was associated with shorter hospital stay, earlier bowel recovery and lower overall morbidity (22.0% vs 52.5%). Severe complications were observed only after open surgery. Conclusion: laparoscopic sigmoidectomy is a safe and clinically advantageous option for selected patients after decompression and stabilization.

The study highlights the importance of linguistic analysis in understanding how technological transformation impacts economic discourse and sustainable development.

This article explores the stylistic divergences in the formulation and perception of requests, politeness, and commands between British English and American English. Drawing upon foundational theories of politeness and communication, the discussion synthesizes insights from empirical linguistic studies and cultural observations. The analysis delves into how distinct cultural values regarding social distance and interpersonal interaction manifest in lexical and grammatical choices. Subtle yet significant differences are observed in the deployment of politeness markers, modal verbs, and hedging devices, despite mutual intelligibility. This article scientifically analyzes the concept of incentive as a process of forming motivation, supporting employees and ensuring their professional and personal development. In modern management conditions, incentive has become a complex system that is not limited to material rewards, but also includes spiritual, social and psychological factors. The study reveals the impact of incentive on motivation, its role in organizational effectiveness and practical significance. Also, proposals are developed to improve effective incentive mechanisms based on foreign and domestic experience.
